Fur Coat Workshop 2.0

Sunday, January 13, 2008, 9 a.m. until late

A newly improvised, revised, and expanded version of the popular 'make-your-own fur coat' workshops of 2004 and 2005. Participants will arrive in the morning with an armful of fabric and depart in the evening with a fully formed* coat, ready to strut about town!

Instructor: Rachel "Ivy" Clarke is the chair of the Improvisational Textiles department at the Black Rock Institute of Improvisational Design. She is schooled extensively in the Jonuska method of sewing, which basically says that as long it works and doesn't fall apart, it's all good.

* depending on the number of participants, speed of work, number of available sewing machines, distractions, food comas, inclement weather, natural disasters, acts of God, etc.
